Tanzania Task Force

The Tanzania Task Force is planning a mission visit to our companion synod in Tanzania!

Are you looking for a life-changing experience?

Would you like to meet siblings in Christ in Tanzania?

Have you thought about a spending a few days exploring the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater to see amazing animal populations and the awesome splendor of God’s creation?

Want to meet new people from this synod and form new connections?

Do you know there are more Lutherans in Tanzania than in the United States? Learn how the Christian faith is spreading, and new Christians are sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ!

A Mission Visit emphasizes building relationships with our hosts rather than “doing a project.”

The 2024 Mission Visit is currently in the planning stages, and you can be a part of this exciting journey. Join us for one of the two scheduled Zoom meetings to learn more about the Delaware-Maryland Synod’s 2024 Mission Visit to the Mara Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania. Sessions will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 2 and Tuesday, November 14. Sessions will last no longer than 90 minutes but will provide information on how to participate in this exciting opportunity.

For more information, please contact: Pastor Charles Zang, Nancy Zang, Pastor Fred Lehr, or Janet Lehr. You can also view the PowerPoint presentation and informational handout for more details.

Estonia-Finland

The Delaware-Maryland Synod has shared a companion synod relationship with members of the Estonian Lutheran Church and the Tampere Diocese of the Finnish Lutheran Church for two decades. The ministry has involved visitation exchanges between the various countries, and shared communication of history, ministry and mission.
The Estonian-Finnish Task Force is the synod’s team to help facilitate and grow this ministry. To find out more, or to become involved in sharing God’s work with our European sisters and brothers, please contact Pastor Joe and Carol Lettrich.

If you would like information on future TTF projects or someone to speak to your congregation, please contact Pastor Charles Zang or via telephone: 301-662-5034.
