Kati Kluckman-Ault was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, moved to Baltimore for the first time in 1977, and has also lived in Utah and Minnesota. She attended Concordia Jr. College in Portland OR, earning an Associate of Arts degree and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seattle University. She also attended the University of Utah, earning a Master of Science in Parent Child Nursing and a certificate in nurse-midwifery. She has served for over 34 years in health care. In 2002, she was consecrated by the Lutheran Deaconess Association as a Lutheran Deaconess and rostered in the ELCA as a Diaconal Minister in 2005. She completed a unit of CPE at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington DC. Kati received a Masters of Arts in Ministerial Studies from the Lutheran Seminary at Gettysburg in 2004. She has served at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church in East Baltimore since 2001. Her past service includes Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries as Program Coordinator for Congregational Health Ministry, Johns Hopkins School of Nursing as a clinical instructor and teaching Parish Nursing.

Kati’s service to the Delaware Maryland Synod has included membership and chairmanship of the Mission Table for New and Renewing Ministries, membership on the interim CLAIM board, and membership on the Mutual Ministry Committee. In addition, she is a board member of the Lutheran Home and Hospital Foundation. She is a member of the Lutheran Deaconess Conference and has served on the Nominations Committee, Worship planning team for their annual meeting and has co-chaired the Sexual Abuse Task Force.

Kati is married to Brian Ault, a senior researcher at the Univ. of Maryland, University College and they have three children, two sons and a daughter.
