God is always doing a new thing, in the world and in our lives. God has made us, given us gifts, and called us to lead and serve. God is working constantly to transform us into the people and leaders God is calling us to be.
Many times the people around us don’t recognize the changes God is making. Many times we don’t even realize how God is transforming us. But hidden and disguised, those changes are happening. Our knowledge is growing. Our faith is deepening. Our vision is expanding. Our gifts are emerging. We are the leaders God is calling to be transformed, and to transform the world around us. Retreat Details
The retreat begins at 7:00pm on Friday, April 13 with registration check-in at the Potomac Lodge, and ends with the closing worship with Eucharist on Sunday, April 15 which starts at 10:00am. You’re welcome to join us for worship!
Each congregation is permitted to bring up to four middle school youth for the retreat who are currently in grades 6-8. Who a congregation send is up to those church leaders – some congregations send 6th graders who they envision growing into a strong leader, while other churches send 8th graders who are already showing those leadership skills – either scenario is fine, and everyone between! Churches are required to send at least one adult leader who stays for the duration of the weekend, and are invited to bring a second adult if desired. Space is limited for this retreat – registration will close when the retreat reaches 120 people total.
The retreat fee is $100/person, both adult and youth participants, and is due in full ahead of time with registration. Registration fees are non-refundable after March 15th for any reason. Checks may be made out to “The Gathering Account” – one check/congregation is preferred. Financial assistance is available – click here to download a scholarship application to submit.
If you have a high school LYOer from your congregation, the registration fee is $75/LYOer, also due in full at the time of registration. LYOers do not count towards the four middle school youth per church limit.

Registrations are due postmarked by March 15th or when capacity for the event is reached. Registrations received after March 15th will be accepted as space and time allow.
