Information Meetings
To help you prepare for the Gathering, there will be several in-person information meetings – each lasting from 60-90 minutes, including Friday, June 3rd (during lunch) at the 2011 DE-MD Synod Assembly
(details to be announced at Assembly).
These meetings are for potential leaders of groups and pastors, and not for individual families from your congregation. Please do not use these meetings to educate your parents – we’ll discuss the ways to get the word our in your congregation! The meetings will be a little over an hour of presentation and information on the Gathering as well as DAYLE and MYLE, with time afterwards for your questions and concerns.
Adult Leader Trainings
One of the new areas the Gathering will be focusing on is providing training opportunities for all adults throughout the Synod. This is where our Gathering Coach, Joan Pugh, will be active in helping to lead these trainings, which will also be open to youth leaders who are not attending the Gathering – it’s an equipping opportunity for you from the ELCA!
Especially for you and other adults coming to the Gathering, these trainings will be essential because of the increased role you will play during a Synod-specific day of the Gathering. So talk with your adult leaders to attend one of the following trainings:
